The Mallard (Anas Platyrhynchos), also known as wild duck, is a dabbling duck that breeds throughout the temperate and subtropical Americas, Eurasia and North Africa. It is the most abundant duck species in North America and is found in almost any fresh water habitat. Main predators of the Mallard include foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, mink, feral cats, domestic dogs and cats.
